Art Therapy Intern
Yvonne is a bilingual Art Therapy intern, currently enrolled as a second-year student in Pratt Institute’s graduate program in Art Therapy and Creativity Development. She holds bachelor's degrees in Fine Arts and Psychology and has over 10 years of training in the visual arts. She is working towards full professional credentialing in Art Therapy.
Yvonne has experience providing individual art therapy sessions and co-facilitating groups through her previous internship at AwakeDBT in Campbell, CA. She has worked with adolescents experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, emotion dysregulation, and hypersexuality.
Her approach is informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and other creative arts approaches. She believes each person has a unique art language and is dedicated to helping clients develop it as a tool for expression and personal growth.
Outside of work, Yvonne enjoys cooking, golfing, and traveling. She enjoys exploring new places and believes that curiosity and creativity continue to shape both her life and her work.
Yvonne is available to see clients at our Oakland office on Sundays and our San Jose office on Tuesdays. She is also available for virtual sessions. Yvonne offers therapy in English and Mandarin.
