Trauma-Informed Practices & Social Emotional Learning for Educators

Our students come to school with a multitude of trauma and complex psychological dynamics that effect not only their behavior and ability to learn, but the way they orient themselves to the adults at school. This has a deep effect on school culture and the personal and professional experience of educators. In this training, the facilitator will provide psychoeducation of trauma, what it means to be a trauma-informed educator and offer practical tools that can be used at school sites both in and out of the classroom to promote the best possible SEL outcomes for students as well as educator well-being.
