Group Art Therapy Supervision

Lauren's group supervisionLauren Chester facilitates a Group Art Therapy Supervision for Art Therapists collecting hours for their ATR. Lauren brings over 15 years of clinical experience working with diverse populations and provides neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ affirming, decolonial and disability justice oriented, trauma and social justice informed support,  mentorship and case consultation to supervisees in this group.

Lauren supports supervisees with clinical case consultation and exploring topics such as: transference and countertransference with clients, developing healthy boundaries between professional and personal life, self-care strategies to manage compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma, and professional identity as an art therapist. Lauren encourages supervisees to create personal response art that can be explored together in supervision. With her expertise, she is able to provide resources and feedback to support our supervisees' practices, including input in the analysis of client artwork and other session documentation or material. She facilitates a collaborative and natural flow to supervision sessions, guided by the supervisees, what they would like assistance with, and what they desire to get out of their supervision time.
